Dr. Stellah M. Mukhovi is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Nairobi. She is a trained human geographer with Bachelor of Education degree (Hons), Master of Arts degree in agricultural geography and a PhD all from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her main research interests are in the areas of social-ecological resilience, food systems sustainability, household food security, gender issues in agriculture, rural development, rural livelihoods, agricultural policy analysis, land resources management and climate change and agriculture, climate smart agriculture among other areas. Stellah is currently undertaking her post-doctoral research on social-ecological resilience of food systems in Mt. Kenya region. She has been involved in numerous trans-disciplinary research on natural resources sector and community livelihoods, soil erosion, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of natural resources sector for non-state actors (NSA) in Kenya, Food security and drought management, climate change effects on agriculture livelihoods among others. Stellah is widely published in peer-reviewed journals.
