With the aim of strengthening collaboration between Swiss scientific institutions and CGIAR, SDC has invited 16 directors of CGIAR research programmes to attend the conference.

CGIAR is a global partnership for a food-secure future. CGIAR science is dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources and ecosystem services. Its research is carried out by 15 CGIAR Centers.

Four side events provided an overview of current trends in CGIAR research, along with the opportunity to discuss them and to make personal contact with CGIAR scientists.

CGIAR was present throughout the conference in room A 015 of the UniS building (ground floor).
